Explosion and Fire at BASF's Main German Factory Raises Concerns
No Contamination, Injured Employees Released
BASF SE has assured the public that an explosion and fire at its main German factory in Ludwigshafen did not contaminate the area. The company also reported that all 15 employees injured in the incident have been released from the hospital.

Despite the incident, BASF's sales declined in the 2023 business year. The company reported sales of 68,902 million euros, a decrease of 18,424 million euros compared to the previous year.
