Lions final Week 2 injury report: 2 ruled out, Davenport doubtful and 3 more questionable
Detroit Lions' final injury report for Week 2 is out, and it's not good news for the team. Several key players are listed as questionable, including starting quarterback Jared Goff and running back D'Andre Swift.
The Lions released their final injury report for Week 2 on Friday, and it includes several key players who are listed as questionable. Quarterback Jared Goff (knee), running back D'Andre Swift (ankle), wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle), cornerback Amani Oruwariye (back), and safety Tracy Walker (ankle) are all listed as questionable.
Goff is dealing with a bone bruise in his knee that he suffered in the Lions' Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He was able to finish the game, but he was clearly in pain. Swift is also dealing with an ankle injury that he suffered in the first half of the game. He was able to return to the game in the second half, but he was not as effective as he was in the first half.
St. Brown, Oruwariye, and Walker are all dealing with minor injuries that they suffered in practice this week. They are all expected to play in Week 2, but they may be limited in practice this week.
The Lions are hoping to get all of their injured players back on the field for Week 2, but they may have to make some adjustments to their lineup if some of them are unable to play. If Goff is unable to play, backup quarterback Tim Boyle will get the start. If Swift is unable to play, backup running back Jamaal Williams will get the start.
The Lions will host the Washington Commanders in Week 2. The Commanders are coming off a 28-22 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1.
